Having lived in the country before for a short time many years ago, I was reminded of a phenomenon called "Stop, Drop and Roll". It is a common act performed by canines when stumbling upon a fresh cow pie or other form of excrement deposited by wildlife in the area. Our property is zoned agricultural due to the fact that a cattle rancher has free range of all the properties in the area to graze his cattle so a fresh supply of cow pies are deposited regularly along with deer, foxes, bobcats, coyotes...the list goes on and on.
Mr. Corgipants, being from the burbs didn't have much experience in this completely natural, (much to the dismay of my husband) act of canine happiness. For dogs...it's all about the poop. What is it that makes dogs nutty about things that smell bad? My afternoon walk let me witness Mr. Corgipants in this complete state of euphoria....
No doubt, there will be many happy poop filled days in the life of Mr. Corgipants....Very happy he is adjusting to country life so thoroughly~
